Kristen's Story
I am a senior at Iowa State University. I grew up in West Des Moines and I am now graduating in May with my degree in Child, Adult and Family Services. I am completing my internship here at Iowa Foster and Adoptive Parents Association. I have worked with children the majority of my life and I decided to make helping children and their families my full time career. I currently work part time at a before and after school program and completed a summer internship in Germany where I worked with military children. The Stride for Foster Care Walk impacts so many families and I wanted to be a part of that. When I graduate I hope to stay in the field of foster care and adoption because this is where my passions are focused. This event is important to me because it enhances community and allows families to help other families.
